Like everyone else, we’ve been anxiously anticipating Apple’s iPad launch this Saturday. We are, however, particularly excited because it is also the launch of the company’s first app app — Yahoo! Entertainment for the iPad.

Like everyone else, we’ve been anxiously anticipating Apple’s iPad launch this Saturday. We are, however, particularly excited because it is also the launch of the company’s first app app — Yahoo! Entertainment for the iPad.

With the Yahoo! Entertainment app, we’ve brought together a bunch of great content found from across our Yahoo! network, into an easy and fun experience made specifically for the iPad. We’ve taken advantage of the iPad’s features, including gesture and geo-location technologies, a vibrant display screen, and superfast Wi-Fi connectivity, to build an entirely new and awesome way to consume real-time entertainment content. You can view and customize TV listings and get recommendations on the hottest new shows. We’ve also added entertainment news, book reviews and comics for you to enjoy. And finally you’ll find videos on topics such as sports and finance including original Yahoo! Videos such as Tech Ticker.
